Weighting Factors for the Benchmark Conditions - 2002

The rankings under the five benchmark conditions were weighted before being summed to get a composite rank.  This was necessary in order to preserve the relative importance of each benchmark condition.  The Second Benchmark Condition (first serve at 110 mph) produced the largest values under the evaluation criteria, while the Third and Fourth Benchmark Conditions produced the smallest values.  Weighting factors for each evaluation criterion were obtained by calculating the ratio of the average value for that criterion under each benchmark condition to the average value for that criterion under the Second Benchmark Condition.
